Updated: 10/20/2025

OU Health Sciences strives to attract, matriculate, and train students who not only possess the intellectual capacity for health professions and graduate study, but who also have a high capacity for ethical and professional behavior.  Ethical and professional behaviors are critical to the effective education of OU Health Sciences students, are considered a core competency in the academic program, and thus, are a key factor in academic good standing.

Expectations of professional behavior as well as procedures for breaches of ethical and professional behavior are outlined in the Student Professional Behavior in an Academic Program Policy in the Faculty Handbook. (Appendix C.3)
